The setting up of Shumookh Investment & Services Company S.A.O.C in 2010, as the investment arm of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), was a bold step to leverage on private capital for infrastructure development to support rapid economic diversification in the Sultanate of Oman. At the same time, it opened up many commercially viable and secure investment opportunities for the private sector.

Since then, Shumookh itself has diversified its interests into even other sectors such as utility sector technologies, specialized logistics and even manufacturing. Madayn follows a live-work-play development model in all its business cities. Shumookh, its shareholders and its investment partners have lived up to our vision by supporting this highly futuristic development model.
