Shumookh Investment and Services Company, the investment arm of Oman's Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has issued tenders for a sixth building to be constructed at the Kom site in Muscat, Oman.
The KOM 6 building is set to be completed by 2021 and will comprise office space, banking services, and commercial stores.
The sixth building will be 5.1ha and will feature 460 parking spaces in the basement.
Shumookh Investment’s chief executive officer, Eng Musallam Al Hudaifi, said local factories, companies, entrepreneurs, and SMEs would be encouraged to participate in the construction process.

The building's exterior will focus on modernist design and contemporary architectural styles, taking into account the architectural culture connecting the interior with the exterior spaces.
KOM 6's courtyard will be derived from the traditional Omani architecture, and the building has been designed to reduce direct sunlight and heat gains, while maintaining modern design and glass facades.
