The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) today celebrated the opening of the Services and Facilities Building in Rusayl Industrial City, with an investment cost of OMR 6.5 million.

The opening ceremony was sponsored by Eng. Dawood bin Salem Al Haddabi, CEO of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), and attended by a number of officials from the public and private sectors, investors, and business owners.

The opening of the building comes amidst the rapid growth of industry in the Sultanate of Oman, and as part of the Corporation's efforts—through its investment arm, Shumookh Investment and Services Company—to develop the infrastructure in industrial cities across the various governorates, ensuring a comprehensive quality work, living, and entertainment environment for all.

Engineer Muslim bin Jumaa Al Hedaifi, CEO of Shomoukh Investment and Services, said that the industrial sector plays a vital role in economic development, contributing to job creation, increasing national income, and boosting exports. He explained that Rusayl Industrial City is one of the industrial hubs and centers in the Sultanate of Oman, as it enjoys excellent infrastructure and advanced logistics services, and is constantly expanding.

He explained that the services and facilities building project in Rusayl Industrial City is a continuation of the vital projects that Shumoukh Investment and Services Company invested in and then exited after achieving economic returns by selling them to other investors.

In a press statement, he said: “Shumookh Investment and Services Company is currently managing and operating this building, which has a total construction area of ​​19,000 square meters, and includes 200 parking spaces inside the building, in addition to the presence of external public parking next to it.” Al-Hudaifi added: “The project building consists of 10 floors (basement floor + ground floor + 8 floors), with a rental area of ​​up to 8.5 thousand square meters. It has been provided to provide various facilities for visitors and workers in Rusayl Industrial City and its neighboring areas. The building also includes various facilities and services, such as banking services, exchange offices, a travel agency, a medical clinic, a labor examination center, cafes, a store for consumer goods, in addition to a group of international and local restaurants. The building also includes many spaces allocated for offices such as government and private bodies and institutions and companies, which provides visitors and investors with a unique and diverse experience, and provides a qualitative addition to the industrial city.”

He said: The building seeks to achieve a set of objectives, including providing basic services to both workers and visitors of the industrial city, providing a facade for Rusayl Industrial City, and also providing additional commercial and office spaces to encourage investment in Rusayl Industrial City. In addition, it aims to develop a globally competitive industrial infrastructure and strive to create the best environment for the growth of Omani industries to compete with industries at the regional and global levels, as well as attracting global investments and strategic partnerships to stimulate economic activity in the Sultanate of Oman, and improving the national income by creating job opportunities for Omani human cadres, and practicing promising professions by localizing more industries and establishing more service projects in line with the objectives of "Oman Vision 2040."

Al Hudaifi explained that the services and facilities building project in Rusayl Industrial City is a new pearl in the contract of Shumoukh Investment and Services Company, after the company succeeded in developing similar service buildings, including the fifth building in Knowledge Oasis Muscat, as well as the services building in Sohar Industrial City, the services and facilities building in Samayil Industrial City, and the services and facilities building in Al Mazunah Free Zone. The company is also currently studying the development of a group of strategic logistics projects.

For his part, Eng. Mohsen bin Zahran Al Hinai, CEO of Rusayl Industrial City Company, said that the services and facilities building project at Rusayl Industrial City is a continuation of the efforts exerted by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) to provide more incentives and services that facilitate local and foreign investment in its industrial cities and enhance the growth of industries related to the industrial sector in the Sultanate of Oman, which will positively impact the national economy and achieve Oman Vision 2040.

In his statement to reporters, he noted that several vital projects had recently been completed in Rusayl Industrial City, which will contribute to attracting investment. The projects aim to develop the city's internal streets, in addition to developing its infrastructure facilities.
