The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) inaugurated the Services and Facilities Building and Masar Service Centre in Samail Industrial City. The inauguration was held under the patronage of Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani, CEO of Madayn, and in the presence of a number of CEOs and officials from the public and private sectors.

This opening comes in support of the future vision "Madayn 2040," which seeks to create business cities with an Omani identity and international standards. The Corporation aims to be the government's empowering arm for comprehensive and sustainable economic and social development through partnerships with the private sector, developing and operating fully serviced business cities that are responsive to changes and rely on the best solutions and technologies to meet business requirements while taking environmental standards into account.

The total area of ​​the services building in Samayil Industrial City is more than 16 thousand square meters, with a rental area of ​​more than 12 thousand square meters, and a total cost of up to 4.5 million riyals. The building was designed to provide the best service to accommodate the market requirements and provide various facilities for the workers in the city. It is complementary to the infrastructure and services, and consists of 8 floors (ground floor + 7 floors). The ground and first floors are allocated for commercial purposes, while the other floors are for offices and telecommunications companies. The building also includes various facilities and services such as banking services, a travel agency, cafes, a consumer goods store, in addition to a group of restaurants.

The Masar Services Center was also opened on the ground floor of the same building. It aims to raise the level of services provided to investors by accelerating and simplifying procedures, strengthening relations with partners to provide integrated services to investors, and consolidating relations with investors to provide a safe business environment. It also provides accurate statistical data on investors. The center is an investment window with a unified system to facilitate and simplify the procedures for investors to obtain all necessary approvals, permits, and licenses for their investment project in one stop shop and within a specific timeframe. This is to create a system of integrated services that investors need to create and add value to an attractive business environment for investments in the Sultanate of Oman. The center also contributes to following up on stalled projects, in addition to providing value-added services such as consulting, financing and banking, medical examination, mail, and marketing and promotion.

During the opening ceremony, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), represented by Samayil Industrial City, Shumookh Investment and Services Company, and the Industrial Innovation Academy. The agreement aims to create a space in the services building at Samayil Industrial City to host small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and support them on an ongoing basis until they graduate from the program. It also aims to manage and organize the program to ensure its success, according to the agreed-upon business plan. It also aims to empower Omani SMEs by holding workshops and events that enable them to manage their enterprises efficiently and achieve the highest added value in local, regional, and global markets, and to promote the incubators through various communication and marketing platforms.

Madayn continues to implement a number of vital projects in Samail Industrial City, most notably the Health Fitness Building project, which is expected to open in December 2022. Madayn also continues to implement the Medical Clinic project, which offers a range of medical specialties, such as general check-ups, first aid services, general medicine, and other specialties that serve workers in the industrial city and residents of nearby neighborhoods. Madayn also continues to implement the complementary works project for the industrial city, which includes the dualization of the street leading to the city and connecting it to the expressway. The completion rate of this project has reached 89%. The project also includes linking the second phase of the sewage tank to the first phase, which has exceeded 40% completion and is expected to be delivered next June.
